Jo grew up in rural Wales and now lives in Northumberland.

She currently works in Newcastle Upon Tyne as Creative Lead and Heritage project manager with the Mental Health & Arts Charity, Chilli Studios, and is a programmer and projectionist with the volunteer-led Cinema, Star and Shadow.
